All of those commands should be run from /usr/src/linux-source-2.6.18.
i.e. where the linux-source-2.6.18 package was unpacked.
"4. run make menu config and enable Xen in configuration." I guess
this step could be omitted and replaced by just copying appropriate
config-2.6.18-4-xen file from precompiled xen kernel to the linux
source directory .config file.
"5. run make-kpkg --added-patches clean (that would unapply patches)"
it should be
5. run make-kpkg --added-patches xen clean (that would unapply patches)
All this trouble is of course if one wants to get an opportunity to
manually configure xen kernel for debian.
