Anyway, I use a simple perl script, which is set as the default browser.
Works quite well, but not perfect (something in KDE seems to check if the 
page is there, adding an overhead).

Download from here:
http://www.oxborrow.net/code/perl/mozilla-remote/

Then, just add this script to your file associations the normal way (don't
have the exact recipe here, still fvwm at work), and you should be ready
to go. 

The other way around, opening kmail from a mailto-link in Navigator is
worse, that's this bug: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11459
