No doubt about it. I was married to a girl from "down the bayou", and she was a good cook, and her mother and paternal grandmother were excellent cooks. It was *really* nice when her father would come off his 2 weeks on the (in-shore) oil rig and give us zip-lock bags of frozen filleted trout and catfish that he caught fishing off the side of the rig. And they had a shrimp boat that they'd take out during the season in he "2 weeks off" periods.
