Actually, apt-pinning is a lot easier than you think. Just google
"apt-pinning" and the first result should be a HowTo for apt-pinning.

It's extremely easy and simplistic, you just have to understand how to
actually pin the apt files, and understand a few file types
(/etc/apt/preferences and /etc/apt/sources.list, which are easy).
