After reading the list for some time, you know whose posts you have to skip, whose posts are troll (and hence can be skipped), whose posts are useful, whose posts are entertaining etc., Once you get that kind of picture, it is a breeze to follow the threads by ignoring the flames, trolls... OT or not, this list consists of people who know a lot of stuff about debian.
