Well, the "United Empire Loyalists", (of whom I'm a descendant) did
immigrate to Canada, but there were people living here well before that
event. So, No, Canada wasn't founded by the United Empire Loyalists
anymore than any other group in Canada -- Many of whom were soldiers of
the Crown, and given land in exchange for loyal service. Others
included people whom used the "Underground Railroad" to escape slavery
in the U.S. etc.
I still have cousins from the U.S. that didn't immigrant to Canada at
that time, whom I've never spoken to, because of the rift, (The spelling
of our common surname was changed to reflect the differences).
In terms of Paul, I was commenting on his extreme views, which often
aren't associated with anything that the vast amount of Canadians
espouse. We're known as "middle of the road" individuals, perhaps a wee
tad left of centre. ;)
Anyway, I don't think I'll say anymore about that, as I don't care to
discuss politics. ;)
