Can we have more details as to what you've already done? Has your
problem produced any error messages?

I have a Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop with Geforce4 440 Go graphics. I
need instruction for getting the s-video port to work. I've googled a
lot and tried some suggestions found there, but they haven't worked
and I haven't a clear idea of what's needed.
I guess I was vague because the problem was so simple. I continued to
google -- looking for the magic keywords, and found a relevant xorg.conf on
this page:
http://gentoo-wiki.com/TV-Out_with_GeForce
from which I exerpted this bit of the "Device" section:
# TV Out Setup
Option "TVStandard" "NTSC"
Option "TVOutFormat" "SVIDEO"
Option "TVOverScan" "0.6"
Option "ConnectedMonitor" "TV"
which gave me what I needed. I had to use the "nvidia" driver.
Thanks again.
