hpodder question

with hpodder update files are claimed to be missing in the 
/home/jude/.hpodder/feedxfer/ directory and this is causing hpodder to 
throw exceptions and die.  The associated files that are missing appear to 
be from already existing feeds and unless I'm mistaken feeds are returning 
smaller file sizes perhaps than what hpodder had originally.  Erasing 
everything in the feedxfer directory doesn't fix this problem either. 
Could it be I need a few more parts of the sqlite package to examine 
what's going on in hpodder's data base or is that likely to be 
unrewarding?
