Zero, I think google has led you astray. HAL is "hardware abstraction layer" which is used for various ways of getting at hardware within the Debian GNU/Linux operating system. I can think of nothing in windows that would require you to use HAL in order to operate. I suggest you dig some more, or give us more details as to the problem so that maybe we can help A
