A little while ago Firefox was replaced with Iceweasel in Debian Etch. I
have now:
ii iceweasel 2.0.0.1+dfsg-2
But now I am not able to log in to Sympatico's website, it reports:
" Bell.ca supports Internet Explorer 7.0, 6.0 and Firefox 2.0, 1.5 on
the Windows XP operating system. These OS/browser combinations have been
selected because over 95% of customers and visitors to the site prefer
these combinations.
"We've detected that you're using a browser that bell.ca does not
officially support. Of course you can enter the site but be aware that
your experience may be less than optimal.
"Bell.ca pages have also been evaluated on the Mac OS/Safari platform.
The Shop and Support sections of the site should perform optimally. The
logged-in portion of the site should also function as intended but there
is a potential for errors to occur. We suggest Mac users who wish to use
the logged-in functionality of My Bell use Firefox version 2.0 for the
Mac vs. Safari version 2.0."
IIRC, it used to work before. Maybe the browser identification string is
causing the problem!? Any suggestions? Maybe I should search how to
change that string in iceweasel.
