I have the same exact setup as that diagram. My Debian Router is running Debian (duh) Sarge with Shorewall. Just have to install pppoe and pppd and you should be good to go. Oh and yes, set your DSL modem as a bridge and not a router. And so far, it's been really reliable. > > 2. I have a WiFI AP connected to my 5 port switch, I set it to use WPA2 and with a very good and long password.
