Hi Zach,

In pppconfig its under advanced options:  Persist yes, and demand yes if
you want it.

Otherwise, in /etc/ppp/peers/the-peer-you-use,
add the lines
persist
demand


Persist will redial your modem if the connection is lost, after it waits
(called holdoff).  See the pppd man page.
