Hi Greg,

Thanks for your advice, and for pointing me to the fact, that I had been
missing some experimental stuff into a testing dist.

I followed your advice, but it didn't work any way. So I made the
decision to completely reinstall the computer-system, in order to overcome
some other inconveniences when I installed first.

Now I'm up and running again, with a running texlive installation. I'm
sure, that this could have been done in a more "debian"-way. I have heard
the slogan: "Install once -- update forever." But with the very easy
installation process, it doesn't really matter.
