Hi,
I twice [0][1] posted queries on getting tleds [2] to work on kernels >=
2.6.18.
I filed a bugreport on it [3].
First I changed tleds to use xbase-clients to set the leds, but that has
2 problems:
1. It won't set the NumLock LED because of a bug.
2. It won't set the LEDs when no users are using X.
So then Bauke Jan Douma suggested using the HID input event interface to
set the LEDs, described in [4], which I did. It solved the problem. I
added an '-e' option to starting tleds which then uses HID to write the
LEDs and at all times, in VTs or in X.
I found few users using tleds, and fewer with the same problem. But I
would be willing to put the new .deb on a server if anyone wants it.
