alsa-base and alsa-utils were installed earlier, and but i missed libesd-alsa0, now when i installed that the problem was solved, well a bit. I can now play mp3 files as root. But cant play any as normal user. Gnome's volume control doesn't work, when I click on the volume control icon i get this message: "No volume control GStreamer plugins and/or devices found."
