Hello List, I am a long-time and addicted Lynx-user. But on my new Etch installation it looks broken:
Google.com looks like: ====================================================================== Google Personalized Home | Sign in Happy Holidays from Google Web Images Video News Maps more lClose menu Blogs Books Froogle Groups Patents even more ^J _______________________________________________________ Go_______________________________________________________ Google Search I'm Feeling Lucky Advanced Search Preferencesols Language Tools Advertising Programs - Business Solutions - About Google - Go Advertising Programs toBusiness Solutions About Google Go to Google Nederland 206 Google http://www.google.com/intl/en/about.html ====================================================================== note the doubled input-line and the doubled links on the bottom that appear when the cursor comes along. And the 206! If I run Lynx in a shell at my ISP it looks like: ====================================================================== Google Personalized Home | Sign Happy Holidays from Google Web Images Video News Maps more Close menu Blogs Books Froogle Groups Patents even more _______________________________________________________ Google Search I'm Feeling Lucky Advanced Search Preferences Language Tools Advertising Programs - Business Solutions - About Google - Go to Google Nederland 2006 Google https://www.google.com/accounts/Login?continue=http://www.google.com/ ======================================================================== This is copied and pasted at 71 colums wide. A screenshot is at http://www.xs4all.nl/~rjnoe/debian . Both are version 2.8.5 rel.1 . The one at my ISP gives messages in english, the one here in dutch. In a console it is the same problem. Any hints ? In a way I suspect it is not a lynx problem, because I saw similar things in the installer. Could it have to do with the translations of messages into dutch ???
