I am interested in purchasing a Bluetooth dongle and an internal
DVD/CD-RW for an IBM ThinkCentre A50p with Debian Etch installed. Is
there a rule of thumb when purchasing hardware for Linux systems?
Hardware models and configurations are often different from continent
to continent and country to country. Are there certain manufacturers
of Bluetooth dongles or DVD/CD-RW devices that one should steer clear
from? How else do you determine what will work with Linux?
Lastly, what apps support Bluetooth transfer in Etch? I have a
SonyEricsson P800 mobile phone that I would like to sync with Linux as
there is no PC Suite for Lin.
