I don't know anything about your particular device. Maybe you could try 'fdisk -l' (as root, while the camara is connected, check with 'lsusb'), just to check if any partition information is found.

This might give you some hint as to how to mount the device. Even if this doesn't show a valid partition table, it might be possible to use the pmount approach mentioned in another reply.

A quick google of 'Sony DSC-W30 linux' showed that mounting might only work since kernel 2.6.16, ie. from debian etch or a sarge kernel from backports.org
