Hi there! Problem: Apache is killed everyday at around 06:28 System: Debian Woody, kernel 2.4.18, apache 1.3.26
file /var/log/apache/error.log: [Sat Jun 28 06:27:20 2003] [notice] SIGUSR1 received. Doing graceful restart [Sun Jun 29 06:27:35 2003] [notice] SIGUSR1 received. Doing graceful restart [Mon Jun 30 06:27:23 2003] [notice] SIGUSR1 received. Doing graceful restart [Tue Jul 1 06:27:35 2003] [notice] SIGUSR1 received. Doing graceful restart file: /var/log/messages: Jun 30 06:28:18 ser kernel: VM: killing process apache Jun 30 06:31:14 ser syslogd 1.4.1#10: restart. Jul 1 06:28:28 ser kernel: VM: killing process apache Jul 1 06:31:44 ser syslogd 1.4.1#10: restart. Solution searched: I've googled looking for that "kernel VM: killing process apache" but I only found solutions for old systems (for people with kernels 2.2.x). And also the solution was to upgrade to versions 2.4.x.... Solution used so far: I created a crontab entry to reload apache at around 06:30 every morning but I guess that's not the solution.... it's been working for some months but I got feed up with this solution cause in fact it is not so. Could someone please help to find the cause of that problem? Thanks. Kisses, Maria __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo!
