HP DV6000 series. Sound works fine, I haven't tried the modem or sensors. There were serious problems with the K7 kernels, which I reported as a bug. I ended up reformatting the hard drive and use it now as a pure Windows XP system, with Cygwin (which means I still work largely in xterms). I'm going to try installing Ubuntu on it when I get a chance, but that won't be for at least a couple of weeks. Knoppix worked flawlessly on it, with the 486-series kernel. Debian would freeze whenever the video resolution changed. -- Carl Fink [EMAIL PROTECTED] Read my blog at nitpickingblog.blogspot.com. Reviews! Observations!
