Please pardon a silly question, but what do you mean by 'monitor'? Do the 'monitor' apps run on the linux server? If so, can you use a windows ssh client to log into the linux server? Could you use a serial line with a terminal emulator on the windows box? You'll note that I'm text-console-centric.
