-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Two weeks ago, the memory card from my camera was stuck into a USB card reader attached to a Win2K machine. The Windows box couldn't open the card, and Linux reported:

Well, I was finally able to get the camera to reformat the card, and everything seemed to work even though the pictures taken were long gone. Now, the same problem has occurred, except without the Windows part. The pictures were viewable in the camera, I pulled the card out, put it in the USB card reader, and thud. Nothing. This time, we tried a PCMCIA CF card adapter in a WinXP box, which could not mount the card either. It showed up as a device, but empty. I have _NOT_ told the camera to reformat this time, in hopes that the data might be recoverable. Does anyone believe there is any hope of recovering this data? Can you suggest a technique or service?
