I had this problem with RedHat7.2 and this card (I don't remember if it was dell or ibm) and I've downloaded and compiled the driver from their website and it worked. as for the network, I think the module is eepro100. try running 'modprobe eepro100'. if you don't get errors then edit '/etc/network/interfaces'. if you get errors try looking at their web site.
