I had the same problem on my laptop. Your problem occured mayby by some modules which can't recognize your hardware, I think....... So you should add these modules in the blacklist and after If you can boot  on your system install a newier version of linux kernel  and after remove  the modules from blacklist and boot with the new kernel.  If you want more info just tell me........
