Is there any way to possibly play a DVD ISO as if it was an actual physical DVD using XINE? I can mount the ISO easy enough. For my test, I did:
mount /workspace/Multimedia/ISO-Images/StarWars-Holiday-Special.iso /shared/ISO/I0 -t iso9660 -o loop, and it mounted okay. However, when I try to play it in XINE (just clicking on the DVD button), I get this: libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.9 for DVD access libdvdread: Attempting to use device /workspace/Multimedia/ISO-Images/StarWars-Holiday-Special.iso mounted on /shared/ISO/I0 for CSS authentication libdvdnav:DVDOpenFileUDF:UDFFindFile /VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.IFO failed libdvdnav:DVDOpenFileUDF:UDFFindFile /VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.BUP failed libdvdread: Can't open file VIDEO_TS.IFO. And just opening up the VIDEO_TS.VOB file directly brings up the menu mpeg, but with nothing clickable. Any ideas on how to play an ISO short of copying the entire file over to a Windows box, mounting with Alcohol 120%, and playing using WinDVD? The reason this is important to me is because I am in the process of making video DVDs out of some old cartoons (such as my Mysterious Cities of Gold collection, for example). It looks like the full image is going to be too big to fit on a single layer DVD-R, meaning that I can't test them first using a DVD-RW. And since there are no Double Layer DVD+RW disks, I need to test them in ISO format to reduce the risk of blowing $2.00 a pop on making DVD+R DL coasters. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
