I still didn't try it, but I've read on several places about the wondershaper,
if traffic shaping is what you want (ie, control as in 'command', not as in
'observe').
If you only want to control (as in 'observe') your traffic, you can use SNMP
with MRTG to generate nice graphs of the data passing through your network card
(again, I haven't done that yet).
