hi, i'm using debian sarge (kernel 2.6.17.13) and i have a problem with my wireless-lan card.
my notebook has a 10/100M lan (eth0, ip: 192.168.0.101) and a 11M wireless lan (eth1, ip: 192.168.0.100), both configured with network 192.168.0.0, mask 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.0.1. the eth0 works well but when i disconnect eth0 and only use wireless eth1, the strange problem occur: ping any internet domain is ok but ping gateway failed: #ping 127.0.0.1 OK #ping localhost OK #ping www.yahoo.com OK #ping 192.168.0.1 >From 192.168.0.101 icmp_seq=1 Destination Host Unreachable it seems that package is passed by eth1 -> eth0 -> gateway, and eth0 is not connected. and route -n is: Destination Gateway Genmask Flags M R U IFace 192.168.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 eth0 192.168.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 eth1 0.0.0.0 192.168.0.1 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 eth1 0.0.0.0 192.168.0.1 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 eth0 when only use eth1 i can access all internet sites but cannot access any computer in lan with ip 192.168.0.X. how to solve this problem? thanks! xuefeng Sep. 26, 2006
