I am trying to install Sarge via netboot. The machine keeps getting hung at "Preparing to configure flex" I am using a netboot.tar.gz from what I believe is 8/7/2006. See below:
/var/lib/tftpboot/debian# ls -l
total 9216
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 2006-08-07 13:45 debian-installer
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 9415946 2006-08-07 13:45 netboot.tar.gz
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 32 2006-09-01 10:10 pxelinux.0 -> debian-installer/i386/pxelinux.0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 34 2006-09-01 10:10 pxelinux.cfg -> debian-installer/i386/pxelinux.cfg
/var/lib/tftpboot/debian# md5sum netboot.tar.gz
05612f62b501ce08830cfc6c36273798 netboot.tar.gz
I saw a site about a user than had the same problem and the fix was to use a older netboot image. I have tried getting a couple other images but they all seem to be newer (despite being in the 20050317 directory on the mirrors)
Index of ftp://ftp-mirror.internap.com/pub/debian/dists/sarge/main/installer-i386/20050317sarge1/images/netboot

Directory: pxelinux.cfg 09/06/2006 09:00:00 PM
These all seem to be lacking support for the Marvell Yukon ethernet chipsets.
Does anyone know a location where I can get a netboot image that will work with that chipset and not hang during install? How about a way to debug the install so I can figure out why it keep hanging on the flex installation? I have tried several mirrors including Internap, MIT, and the
debian.org mirror for the install wilth no change.
