Prior to installing Etch, the Gnome desktop dictionary displayed in a
side panel a list of words which previously had been looked up. This
always-visible list was very convenient. But in Etch with Gnome, the
dictionary provided by the "add to panel" menu lacks this feature; the
help -> about menu identifies the new dictionary only as "Dictionary
2.14.0". Is the old dictionary still available?

And is there a "local" dictionary which can be installed on a machine
which does not have Internet access?
