Hello, I'm running a Debian Woody system. I recently updated the kernel to the latest Debian-packaged kernel-source-2.4.19. This morning, the server crashed with a kernel oops. The function it crashed in is "may_ptrace_attach", one of the functions affected by the recent upgrade. I've included the Oops report below.
For now we're running with the older 2.4.19 kernel, but I'd really like the security updates in the newer release. Has anybody else seen this error? Is filing a bug report the best way to try and get the problem fixed, or is there something else I should try? Thanks! ----Scott.
