I guess they have reworked KDE menus because now it is at: Control Center -> KDE Components -> Component Chooser and paste in: /usr/bin/thunderbird --mail
I see thunderbird pop a window, but that does not work because I get the error: Warning: unrecognized command line flag -mail Doesn't work without the flag --mail either. If I'm already running thunderbird, it seems to start a new process: $ !! ps auxww | egrep thun 5110 0.0 0.1 2836 1380 pts/2 S+ 09:49 0:00 /bin/sh /usr/bin/thunderbird 5114 0.0 0.1 2876 1416 pts/2 S+ 09:49 0:00 /bin/sh /usr/lib/thunderbird/run-mozilla.sh /usr/lib/thunderbird/thunderbird-bin 5119 2.2 6.0 160628 47248 pts/2 S+ 09:49 0:44 /usr/lib/thunderbird/thunderbird-bin 6098 0.0 0.2 4604 1604 ?
