I experienced some difficulties to run new kernel 2.6.17. If I comment initrd.img-2.6.17 line in my /boot/grub/menu.lst, and start to restart OS, I got Kernel panic error. Is this possible to start kernel without initrd.img-2.6.17?
title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.17 root (hd0,0) kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.17 root=/dev/hda1 ro #initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.17 savedefault boot I take a look on resources /initrd directory and /dev/initrd not contain any information. Any help appreciated. Alex. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
