Jul 23 was only a week ago! The security problem has been fixed, and as far as I can see, the only things that this has broken are programs that are not actually in sarge at all. So the fact people are still working on fixing it is quite admirable. If you're desperate, there's a working .deb in one of the messages of that thread.
