hex 0x78 is 'x'. I assumed that it was a fix to make the directory-names work around the case-insensitivity of the filesystem. (It's a nuisance, but there are two entries that collide in that case). That wouldn't fix the general case for collisions though since it only addresses the first character. -- Thomas E.
