It seems that DRI for i810 is currently broken (something to do with the 2.6.16 kernel.) :-( http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=359328 The good news is that some patched packages are already in 'experimental' and should make their way down to unstable eventually.
