Well, I thought it was sufficiently common practise that I would find an answer here. I did look up the archives, but missed the January "thread" (which is a shame since it has essentially the same title as my post and a very similar content). If time permits, I think I'll experiment a bit with chroots, see what's doable right-away... If I find anything useful, I'll keep you posted.
