It depends on how you've setup your mail reader. I generally trust the date set by the sender, because it is a mroe accurate reflection of a chronological discussion (the receive date for my mail would be all bulked together as I grab a chunk using fetchmail). However for my filtered folder or main inbox I use the received-date, so new mail always goes to the end, even if it says it's from the dark ages. -- Jon Dowland http://alcopop.org/
