It looked around some more myself and found this bug: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4797 and also this thread on the debian-x mailing list: http://lists.debian.org/debian-x/2006/01/msg00133.html If you (have to) use a kernel < 2.6.16 you could try adding 'Option "OldDmaInit" "TRUE"' to your xorg.conf as they suggest there. I haven't tried for myself though, I'm running fine with a 2.6.16 kernel now. Greets, Frank
