It seems that there are a varity of xorg problems being reported with
the new testing upgrades. I am _not_ having the same problems as
others so thought I would report them here.
1. startx, as root, works as it should
2. startx as any other user:
When I first tried I kept getting this error message:
"Fatal server error:
Cannot move old log file ("/var/log/Xorg.0.log" to
"/var/log/Xorg.0.log.old"
It seemed the permissions were wrong, so as a test only, I changed
them to allow me to r/w log files. That allowed me to get further
but them get this error:

I have not been able to find any lead to this problem. I installed from
a dist-upgrade (254 packages) so _should_ have everything required, I hope.
I have followed the suggestions mentioned in the >http://wiki.x.org>
except for the part about _startkde_. The link mentioned
"/usr/lib/X11/xinit/xinitrc" doesn't exixt on my system but is instead
"/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc" which is ifrom the xbase-clients package.
Any and all suggestions welcome.
