Derek, that did it! Thank you. However, when I reboot I have to type
in those lines again. Is it possible to have usb-storage module be
loaded at boot time?
Thanks.

You can try reloading the modules.
rmmod usb-storage
modprope usb-storage
Maybe it will work,I remember I had to do that sometimes for my ipod to show
up.

Hi,
I had no problem before using SanDisk Sansa mp3 player on Debian
Linux. I would mount it with:
root# mount -t vfat /dev/sda /mnt/usbmp3
and it worked fine. I have recently "updated" to the unstable branch,
and this does not work anymore. I get the following output when I try
to mount:
root# mount -t vfat /dev/sda /mnt/usbmp3
mount: /dev/sda is not a valid block device
Here is some info on my system:

The "I:" entry in /proc/bus/usb/devices with "Driver=(none)" worries
me, is it possible that I don't have usb driver support in the kernel?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
