It's probably a very a good idea to create a /lib/firmware folder, and place
firmware there. /lib/hotplug/firmware is deprecated as far as I know, and I
am not even sure it works right in Etch and Sid.
I created this new folder and moved all my firmwares in here.

This is version 3.0. The driver you have probably wants v2.4. It is a good
idea to install both versions of the firmware to avoid these issues.
I installed this new v 2.4 and it worked, now i can see my Intel wireless card.
Thanks you very much.
Best Regards,
Fawad.

ipw2100 firmware is useless for your card.
