Hi again. OK so I recently switched to a non-UTF locale to un-break emacs (or to attempt to un-break it) and supposedly I switched to en_US the ISO one but now anytime i run any program I get the following error:
warning: Setting locale failed. perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings: LANGUAGE = "en_CA:en_US:en_GB:en", LC_ALL = (unset), LANG = "en_CA.UTF-8" are supported and installed on your system. perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C"). perl: warning: Setting locale failed. I tried dpkg-reconfigure locales but with no success, just the same error message. any ideas? adam -- ~ in the battle between my demons and my better angels, at least there is a fair fight - linux user # 408597
