No, it is not. No mention of TZ in the environment.
I tried setting the TZ in the environment. Then I restarted Thunderbird
and all was fine. But since I changed the TZ in an xterm and ran
Thunderbird from my fvwm menus the changed TZ was not used. This was
when I remembered that at some point my TZ in /etc/timezone had gotted
changed (I don't know how) and I had reset it to US/Pacific. I am
betting that neither Thunderbird, nor Firefox had been restarted since
then. I restarted Firefox after thinking of this and it is now showing
the correct time, as well.
