Hi guys, I'm setting up a postfix/mysql/courier box for multiple domains following these guides: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_debian_sarge http://postfixwiki.org/index.php?title=Virtual_Users_and_Domains_with_Courier-IMAP_and_MySQL#SASL2_Install
I've set up a box like this before, also with Debian Sarge, and it's working absolutely lovely. Comparing the config files, they're almost identical, the only differences being domain names and passwords. For some reason I cannot log into courier. The mail log simply shows: May 6 13:56:28 postbox courierpop3login: Connection, ip=[::ffff:10.0.0.252] May 6 13:56:38 postbox courierpop3login: LOGIN: DEBUG: ip=[::ffff:10.0.0.252], command=USER May 6 13:56:41 postbox courierpop3login: LOGIN: DEBUG: ip=[::ffff:10.0.0.252], command=PASS May 6 13:56:41 postbox courierpop3login: LOGIN: DEBUG: ip=[::ffff:10.0.0.252], [EMAIL PROTECTED] May 6 13:56:41 postbox courierpop3login: authdaemon: starting client module May 6 13:56:41 postbox courierpop3login: authdaemon: REJECT May 6 13:56:46 postbox courierpop3login: LOGIN FAILED, ip=[::ffff:10.0.0.252] Postfix is accepting mail for the users, so I don't think it's a mysql problem. On the other box I log in with [EMAIL PROTECTED], but I've tried both that and just "user" here, same effect. authdaemonrc: authmodulelist="authmysql authpam" authmodulelistorig="authcustom authcram authuserdb authldap authpgsql authmysql authpam" daemons=5 version="" authdaemonvar=/var/run/courier/authdaemon authmysqlrc: MYSQL_SERVER 127.0.0.1 MYSQL_USERNAME postfix MYSQL_PASSWORD password MYSQL_SOCKET /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock MYSQL_OPT 0 MYSQL_DATABASE postfix MYSQL_USER_TABLE mailbox MYSQL_CRYPT_PWFIELD password MYSQL_UID_FIELD '1001' MYSQL_GID_FIELD '1001' MYSQL_LOGIN_FIELD username MYSQL_HOME_FIELD '/home/vmail' MYSQL_NAME_FIELD name MYSQL_MAILDIR_FIELD maildir MYSQL_QUOTA_FIELD quota pop3d: PIDFILE=/var/run/courier/pop3d.pid MAXDAEMONS=40 MAXPERIP=4 AUTHMODULES="authdaemon" AUTHMODULES_ORIG="authdaemon" DEBUG_LOGIN=1 POP3AUTH="" POP3AUTH_ORIG="LOGIN CRAM-MD5 CRAM-SHA1" POP3AUTH_TLS="" POP3AUTH_TLS_ORIG="LOGIN PLAIN" PORT=110 ADDRESS=0 TCPDOPTS="-nodnslookup -noidentlookup" POP3DSTART=YES MAILDIRPATH=Maildir /etc/pam.d/pop3: auth required pam_unix.so nullok account required pam_unix.so password required pam_unix.so session required pam_unix.so Let me know if there's any other info I can provide to help Thanks Hans -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
