Hello! recently i noticed that the PCMCIA part has made progress concerning my TV card, and that a bunch of modules is loaded (saa7134 + saa7134_dvb).
launching tvtime yields channels, image etc all fine, only: there's no sound... so i added alsa-oss, but that too didn't solve the problem.... googling though the net i noticed that for others the saa7134 module registered also with the soundcore, not in my setup.... on insertion of the card i get: Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: pccard: CardBus card inserted into slot 1 Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: Linux video capture interface: v1.00 Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7130/34: v4l2 driver version 0.2.14 loaded Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: PCI: Enabling device 0000:08:00.0 (0000 -> 0002) Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:08:00.0[A] -> GSI 21 (le vel, low) -> IRQ 185 Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0]: found at 0000:08:00.0, rev: 1, irq: 1 85, latency: 0, mmio: 0x38000000 Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0]: subsystem: 16be:0003, board: Medion 7 134 [card=12,autodetected] Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0]: board init: gpio is 0 Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0]: i2c eeprom 00: be 16 03 00 54 20 1c 0 0 43 43 a9 1c 55 d2 b2 92 Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0]: i2c eeprom 10: 00 ff 86 0f ff 20 ff 0 0 01 50 32 79 01 3c ca 50 Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0]: i2c eeprom 20: 01 40 01 02 02 03 01 0 0 06 ff 00 1f 02 51 96 2b Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0]: i2c eeprom 30: a7 58 7a 1f 03 8e 84 5 e da 7a 04 b3 05 87 b2 3c Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0]: i2c eeprom 40: ff 1d 00 c2 86 10 01 0 1 00 00 fd 79 44 9f c2 8f Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0]: i2c eeprom 50: ff ff ff ff ff ff 06 0 6 0f 00 0f 00 0f 00 0f 00 Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0]: i2c eeprom 60: ff ff ff ff ff ff ff f f ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0]: i2c eeprom 70: ff ff ff ff ff ff ff f f ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0] Board has DVB-T Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0] Tuner type is 63 Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: tuner 4-0061: chip found @ 0xc2 (saa7134[0]) Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: tuner 4-0061: type set to 63 (Philips FMD1216ME M K3 Hybrid Tuner) Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: tda9887 4-0043: chip found @ 0x86 (saa7134[0]) Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0]: registered device video0 [v4l2] Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0]: registered device vbi0 Apr 30 21:39:07 laptop kernel: saa7134[0]: registered device radio0 and a lsmod |grep saa saa7134 104928 0 video_buf 19972 1 saa7134 compat_ioctl32 1184 1 saa7134 v4l2_common 7360 2 tuner,saa7134 v4l1_compat 12068 1 saa7134 ir_kbd_i2c 7852 1 saa7134 ir_common 9156 2 saa7134,ir_kbd_i2c videodev 8640 1 saa7134 i2c_core 19312 6 tda9887,tuner,saa7134,ir_kbd_i2c,nvidia,i2c_i801 so i am quite lost about what is going wrong.... there seem to be no error messages whatsoever... -- ciao bboett ============================================================== [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://inforezo.u-strasbg.fr/~bboett =============================================================== -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
