No it wouldn't. It *might* be better for those who can pay, and everyone
else would get zip.
In any case, private education has to outperform public education
because they are asking parents to pay for a service that's available
elsewhere for free.
Abolish public education, and the private schools might just start
treating parents and students like crap. Certainly, if a single company
came to dominate education the way Microsoft dominates software, parents
and students *would* be treated like crap.
And there would be no place to go--private or public.
