Hi, For doing many off line installs of Debian, I have set up a mirror for debian i386, using the anonftpsync script.
this script - described on the debian mirror pages specifically excludes architectures ( a newer idea it seems - now present in the newer version on the web site ) or excludes particular "patterns" that anonftp rsync will exclude. I set this up a while ago. I never excluded amd64, cause it didn't exist. I actually want to get the amd64 version now to try it out. I understand that amd64 has been "mainstreamed" since the release of sarge. However does this mean that it is already present on standard mirrors like ftp.us.debian.org? I did a fresh amd64 etch install and it is using csail.debian.mit.edu. Is amd64 present at ftp.us.debian.org. How can I tell? Do I have to mirror directly from csail.debian.mit.edu? How to do that? How can I tell if I have already mirrored it from ftp.us.debian.org :) (dumb sounding question i know). Thanks MItchell -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
