OK I am running AVview without ffmpeg but there is no v4l device! The km_drv and km_api_drv modules load successfully but they do not create any /dev/video devices. Should I be using mknod? I thought it would be automatically created. > And yes: gatos (included in x.org >=6.9) is the only road to that goal, the > binary-only driver from ATI doesn't do anything but TV-Out. Does included mean built in or compatible with? I have copied km_drv.ko and km_api_drv.ko to /lib/modules/2.6.14/kernel/drivers/video; this may be the wrong way of going about it?
