Earlier today I plugged in my shiny new wireless card (PCI, rt2500). I used module-assistant to build the kernel module, no problems. Then I run `iwconfig`:

And this is where the problem starts. The ESSID isn't picked up. It does
show up on my wife's Windows machine. I set the ESSID manually then:
# iwconfig eth0 essid 'TheGalaxy'
# iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.

Then I try to scan for "stuff":

eth0 Failed to read scan data : Resource temporarily unavailable
What does that mean? And what can I do to fix it?
(I've disabled all security (no WEP, no WPA) on the wireless router for
the moment. I thought I'd turn that on once I have managed to get the
wireless connection to work without security.)
