I have recently switched my SID to UTF8 locales. It was as easy as running dpkg-reconfigure localeconf (great !).
Everything works fine as before. The only problem I have is the Midnight Commander displaying nonsense - the columns are not correctly alligned, characters randomly split around the screen. Can it be true that mc does not support UTF8 ?
